Project summary
The **Foundational Support Programme** is one of the [++technical assistance++](https://aquaforall.org/ilf-for-wash/ilf-for-wash-technical-assistance/) tracks available for impact-driven WASH enterprises, as part of the Impact-Linked Fund for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene ([++ILF for WASH++](https://aquaforall.org/ilf-for-wash/)). The programme is supported by the [++Social Finance Academy,++](https://social-finance-academy.org/) an initiative by Roots of Impact.
The programme aims to transfer knowledge and skills from certified service providers to WASH enterprises in two areas: **impact measurement and management (IMM)** and **investment readiness (IR)**. At the same time, the goal is to embed these areas into the specific business model of the selected enterprises.
One of the selected enterprises receiving support on both IMM and IR is Maji Milele Limited (hereinafter referred to as ‘Maji Milele’). Maji Milele provides a range of water management products and services to help boost revenue collection and efficiency. The company installs prepaid water meters and online monitoring software to track water distribution, consumption and payments. The enterprise also provides full-service infrastructure maintenance, revenue collection from users and water consumption monitoring.
