ILF for WASH Foundational Support (IMM) for Elphrods Services LLP - Aqua for All

The **Foundational Support Programme** is one of the [++technical assistance++](https://aquaforall.org/ilf-for-wash/ilf-for-wash-technical-assistance/) tracks available for impact-driven WASH enterprises, as part of the Impact-Linked Fund for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene ([++ILF for WASH++](https://aquaforall.org/ilf-for-wash/)). The programme is supported by the [++Social Finance Academy,++](https://social-finance-academy.org/) an initiative by Roots of Impact.

The programme aims to transfer knowledge and skills from certified service providers to WASH enterprises in two areas: **impact measurement and management (IMM)** and **investment readiness (IR)**. At the same time, the goal is to embed these areas into the specific business model of the selected enterprises.

One of the selected enterprises receiving support on (only) IMM is Elphrods Services LLP.

Elphrods Services LLP is a micro credit company that offers WASH credit services to the poor households within low-income communities and links them to WASH service providers such as trained Manual Pit Emptiers, Exhausters, Plumbers, Utilities and Master Operators.

The WASH credits help poor households connect their premises to water & sewer piped networks, access formal pit emptying services and to upgrade the pits to required standards. In some cases, the enterprise directly lends to tenants/households.

Through these WASH upgrades, Elphrods services LLP enables tenants in low-income communities get access to adequate, safe, and environmentally friendly WASH services that aim to positively impact public health and restoration of environmental standards.

Besides WASH loans, the enterprise also provides SME loans and school fee loans.
