Impact investments for water and sanitation

Maximise your impact, reduce the risk

Maximise your impact, reduce the risk

Achieving SDG 6 – Water and sanitation for all – requires an estimated additional $114 billion per year.

However, less than $5 billion in philanthropic capital is available. Impact investments, despite opportunities in the field of financial and social return, also do not fill this gap.

Aqua for All leverages its funds to bridge this financial gap by unlocking new financing streams and mobilising public and private capital. As a result, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) can scale up and become investment-ready. Enabling them to provide affordable services to low-income and rural households.

Together with its partners, Aqua for All:

  • Maximises impact. We develop and identify viable solutions and SMEs with a social purpose that require debt, equity or patient capital.
  • De-risks investments. We participate in the form of co-investments, guarantees, technical assistance, first and second loss capital, and others.
  • Leverages its partnershipsand networks of key private and public stakeholders to realise system level impact.
