Mr Sietse Blom - Aqua for All

He is a political economist with a background in partnership development, institutional fundraising, communications and advocacy.

Before joining Aqua for All, Sietse worked at VSO Netherlands as Team Lead strategic partnerships, where he coordinated the relationships and cooperation with European and EU donors, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foundations. He coordinated the lobby & advocacy and partnership strategy and advocated for the right to education, equal employment opportunities, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for young people in Africa and Asia.

Before joining VSO Netherlands, Sietse worked at international NGO Edukans as Institutional partnerships and fundraising coordinator on improving access to quality education for children and young people. He coordinated the strategy for institutional fundraising from US, European and Dutch donors and Foundations and represented Edukans to Dutch Members of Parliament, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in different multistakeholder networks.

Sietse also was a consultant for SustainabilityWorks and gained experience at INGOs Cordaid, Aflatoun and Kieskompas/ ElectionCompass, as well as at the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the UN in Geneva, where he was then based.

Next to his role at Aqua for All, Sietse volunteers in Dutch schools where he leads conversations on gender identity and sexual orientation.
