Mr Sietse Blom

 

Mr Sietse Blom is the Lead Partnerships & Investor Solutions at Aqua for All.

He is a political economist with a background in partnership development, institutional fundraising, communications and advocacy.

Before joining Aqua for All, Sietse worked at VSO Netherlands as Team Lead strategic partnerships, leading the team that coordinated relationships with European and EU donors, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foundations. He coordinated partnerships and communications, and advocated for the right to education, employment opportunities, and SRHR for young people in Africa and Asia.

Previously, Sietse worked at INGO Edukans as Institutional partnerships and fundraising coordinator on access to quality education and skills training. He led institutional fundraising efforts from US, European and Dutch funders and represented Edukans in the Dutch Parliament and multistakeholder networks. He combined his role with communications consultancy work for a Palestinian NGO, Department of Service to Palestinian Refugees.

Sietse also worked as a consultant for SustainabilityWorks supporting international recruitment, and gained experience at Cordaid, Kieskompas / Election Compass, and the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the UN. He has lived in Berlin, Tel Aviv, and Geneva, and is currently based in Amsterdam.

Next to his role at Aqua for All, Sietse volunteers in schools where he leads conversations on gender identity and sexual orientation, and he is active in the foreign affairs committee of a political party.
