Ms Randi Käufer

Ms Randi Käufer is Senior Impact Officer at Aqua for All, where she works at the intersection of impact, learning, and storytelling. Since joining the organisation in 2020, she has been dedicated to understanding how change happens and how insights can be used to strengthen the impact of water and sanitation initiatives around the world.
Randi’s work focuses on capturing and sharing lessons from Aqua for All’s portfolio through impact case studies, learning and evaluation processes, and the organisation’s broader knowledge agenda. She is particularly interested in translating evidence and experience into practical insights that help partners, investors, and the organisation to make better decisions and accelerate sector-wide learning and ultimately impact.
What distinguishes Randi is her passion for impact storytelling. While robust data and measurement are essential for understanding outcomes, she believes that meaningful change is best communicated when evidence is combined with human stories. By connecting numbers with the experiences of entrepreneurs, communities, and partners, she helps make impact tangible, relatable, and actionable.
Her passion for impact storytelling has been a consistent thread throughout her career:
Prior to joining Aqua for All, Randi worked at the Presencing Institute, where her primary focus was on capturing and sharing stories of change from the global Presencing practitioner community, highlighting how individuals and organisations were applying awareness-based systems thinking and Theory U to create social impact. Through interviews, writing, and editorial work, she developed a deep appreciation for the power of storytelling as a tool for learning, connection, and change. This experience continues to shape her approach to impact communication today.
Randi holds a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies from Leiden University, specialising in public policy, and a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from Utrecht University. Her academic background fostered a lasting curiosity about the social and cultural dynamics that shape development outcomes and behavioural change.
Outside work, Randi is happiest when spending time in nature with her family. As the mother of three daughters, her ideal day combines family time with outdoor activities, whether hiking in the mountains, skiing, or simply exploring new places together. She is also passionate about good food and enjoys bringing people together around the table. Curious by nature, Randi draws energy from meaningful conversations and loves learning from others, hearing their stories, and discovering different perspectives on life.
