Project summary
The Community Based Piped Water Supply Financing Project is the focus of the Water Supply Sustainability Improvement Programme (WSSIP) of C-WASH. It is a 12-month pilot project which seeks to demonstrate the ability of rural/small towns piped water services to accumulate savings for capital maintenance expenditure, and also demonstrate the potential of commercial and blended financing in improving rural/small towns piped water supply coverage and sustainability. The project has four main components including private/commercial financing of water supply, improved governance and TA.
