VegiFish: TriMark using treated wastewater for vegetable and fish production in Ghana - Aqua for All

TriMark Aquaculture Centre, a private start-up in Kumasi, Ghana, is collecting, treating and reusing municipal wastewater for vegetable and fish culture since 2018. In order to address some operational challenges and improve their business model, TriMark is now constructing “VegiFish”: a fish hatchery to produce quality fingerlings and vegetables in a greenhouse. They have been supported by IMWI, KMA, KNUST, Waste Enterprisers; Ghana Climate Innovation Center and Aqua for All. TriMark won the first prize for Sanitation Challenge for Ghana in 2019.
