Support of social enterprise in small scale water provision — SANA - Aqua for All

SANA Holdings Ltd Is a Social Enterprise established by SANA International to contribute towards the realisation of SDG6 through the provision of professional services to small scale water supply. Through innovative technical capacity building, infrastructure development and financial support services they provide support to six small scale water utilities in Kisumu county, Kenya.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the households served by the partner utilities faced challenges paying fees and opted for unsafe traditional sources for most domestic uses except drinking water. As a result, the revenues for both the utilities and SANA dropped. The support of Aqua for All’s Response Facility is designed to enable the utilities to resume and upgrade their operations.
