Streamlining efficiencies in water tankering markets in emerging cities through data - Aqua for All

Powwater intends to solve operational inefficiencies inherent in Nairobi’s highly fragmented water tankering market to improve access to reliable, affordable, and high-quality water for consumers. This will be achieved through:

· IoT integration of sensor technologies and hardware for real-time monitoring of groundwater levels and quality

· Fleet management – This entails building an IoT-enabled, smart water truck fleet management system with sensors technologies for fuel management and network optimization.

· GPS truck route support, aligned with background calculations of groundwater-level data, water quality data, and contextual water-demand data for improved drivers’ logistical decisions.

The project aims to enable the distribution of at least 250 million liters of high-quality water to 50,000 additional consumers in Nairobi supplied by Powwater and 5 other water tankering drivers outside their network.
