SS WSP Challenge Fund - Aqua for All

Aqua for All – with its implementing partners Rural Focus and Smart People Africa – will set up a challenge fund – a _competitive financing facility_– whose main aim is to enhance creditworthiness of ss wsps to attract investment finance for micro and small water infrastructure projects. In partnership with local commercial banks, water service regulatory agencies and private sector service providers, the challenge fund will support the first of its kind “_revenue-based loan financing_” program for water providers in Sub-Saharan Africa. Lack of bank worthy collateral remains the biggest barrier to small enterprises, especially in water sector.
