Project summary
SIED is a Senegalese early-stage social enterprise in the promotion and implementation of autonomous sanitation solutions in Dakar. Under the brand name SANI SHOP, it has developed a public toilet concept addressing the sanitation needs of markets in peri-urban areas. The SANI SHOP offers sanitation services (toilets, showers, menstrual hygiene room) separately for women and men, at affordable prices.
Aqua for All is supporting SIED to grow and strengthen its business, starting by expanding with 3 additional SANI Shops in the Dakar suburbs. Several additional services will also be piloted, such as selling hygiene products or offering mobile-related services to improve the business model. This will be accompanied by dedicated business support aimed at building the team’s capacity and defining a growth strategy.
