Project summary
[i]While access still remains 57%, water quality in Ethiopia has been adressed only through chlorination. Due to this, since 2017, A4A has been helping the distribution of water filters for PoU water treatment through water utilities on paid basis in Amhara region with 20% profit to make it a business case. However, A4A could not go beyond 4 zones (80 utilities) and decided for institutionalizing the effort. By supporting the idea, the AATWU (the aggregator) decided to distribute filters across the region through all the 230 water utilities on a business model. This teazer is for scaling it.
