NAWASSCOAL: human waste transformed into fuel - Aqua for All

NAWASSCOAL Co. Ltd operates in Nakuru, Kenya, and transforms human waste into fuel briquettes which are an alternative to charcoal and firewood. A major user of their products is hotels and eateries in Nakuru. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these establishments had to close and NAWASSCOAL lost an important revenue source. The support of Aqua for All’s Response Facility was used to adjust the sales strategy, as well as to prepare for testing of new machinery, equip staff with protective equipment and cover administrational expenses to keep the company afloat.
