LBA WASH loan portfolio – set up and scale up - Aqua for All

Aqua for All and the Swiss Capacity Building Facility (SCBF) are collaborating to support La Banque Agricole (LBA) in developing financial products for water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in Senegal. LBA aims to support households with improved access to water and sanitation across several regions of Senegal. The project involves commercial lending from LBA, along with technical assistance from Aqua for All and SCBF. Multiple financial products will be developed, including credit for household latrines, credit for drinking water network connections, and a savings product. The overall goal is to contribute to universal and equitable access to improved drinking water and sanitation services in Senegal. LBA plans to work with water network operators and contractors to implement the project. After the initial project period, LBA aims to scale up the products nationwide, potentially reaching a significant number of additional customers and end-users.
