HappyTap handwashing stations: an immediate solution that lasts - Aqua for All

HappyTap is a start-up that sells portable handwashing stations in Bangladesh. It also has regional offices in Vietnam, Cambodia and Singapore. In February 2020, after two years of research and development, they launched production in Bangladesh. At the time of the launch, HappyTap planned to sell to household consumers but quickly faced disruptions in retail supply chains due to COVID-19. Further, the pandemic highlighted the need for flexible handwashing stations in institutions.

HappyTap requested support from the Response Facility to quickly adapt to the pandemic, meet the increased demand and build capacity to change their retail strategy, refocusing on institutions such as schools and healthcare facilities.
