Project summary
DloHaiti is a safe water enterprise providing water infrastructure and IT tools for local entrepreneurs to ensure clean water for approximately 150,000 people living in underserved communities in Haiti. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, DloHaiti experienced a strong increase in demand for safe water. The kiosks expanded their sales, but many sites had reached maximum production and distribution capacity.
Aqua for All’s Response Facility, therefore, agreed to provide DloHaiti with support to scale up their operations and increase water treatment units’ capacity to ensure distribution upgrades. This helped to meet the increased demand and accelerate access to drinking water. In addition, the COVID-19 mitigation measures such as the installation of handwashing stations at kiosks were deployed.
