District-Wide Safe Water for Wassa East, Ghana - Aqua for All

Moving away from a reliance on community management, Water4 is partnering with a social enterprise, Access Development (AD) Ghana, to provide district-wide safe water coverage to more than 100,000 residents of Wassa East, Ghana in 2021 with a branded approach called NUMA. Leveraging innovative finance towards AD’s expansion into a second district, the project provides a blueprint for enterprises in 17 other countries of operation. As a result of the project supported by Aqua for All, a total of 19,500 people will gain access to sustainable, safe water services. Additionally, AD will develop a long-term business plan outlining job creation and government partnership opportunities to enable future business growth.
