Project summary
DipTop Agencies is a water service provider in Kibra slum in Kenya which provides drinking water. Since the start of COVID-19, they have had to deal with many impacts leading to difficulty operating and loss of income such as:
– fewer operating hours leading to fewer customers
– very little money in circulation which is affecting both business and customers ability to pay
– difficulty storing enough water to meet the demand of customers.
– other actors offering water for free.
Response Facility support was provided to increase storage capacity, provide handwashing facilities at their distribution sites, and cover staff costs.
