Project summary
In November 2024, Aqua for All announced a new partnership with the Co-operative Bank of Kenya (Co-op
Bank) to support water infrastructure investment projects that enhance the efficiency of water service providers in the Country. Through a results-based financing mechanism, Co-op Bank will finance up to fifteen (15) infrastructure projects aimed at reducing water losses – commonly referred to as Non-Revenue Water (NRW) – and reducing energy costs through the transition to green energy sources, as well as extending coverage with last-mile (household) connectivity. Water.Org, a US-based Nonprofit, shall provide technical assistance grants to water providers to develop bankable project proposals for consideration by the Co-op Bank. Through this program, an estimated 50,000 people will have access to new/or improved water and sanitation services by October 2027.
