Project summary
Excessive levels of arsenic in drinking water affect up to 50M people in Bangladesh, causing numerous health problems including cancer and killing tens-of-thousands each year. Current monitoring tools for onsite testing have serious drawbacks. AquAffirm has developed a new digital sensor/software system that will revolutionise arsenic management/mitigation, enabling real-time testing & mapping, a development that could benefit millions. In this project the team will pilot the new technology and demonstrate its significant advantages, leading to increased awareness of this debilitating issue.
