2020 was a year full of challenges and disruptions. However, it also created chances for exploring opportunities and strengthening partnerships.

Positive results in a year like no other
In spite of the restrictions, we allocated €19.44 million to fund 44 water and sanitation enterprises. Thanks to this support, 5.1 million people will gain improved access to water and sanitation services.
We adjusted our plans to launch an emergency response facility to support service providers in meeting the higher demand for water and sanitation and overcome the negative impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. Besides, we focused on raising awareness among investors of water and sanitation as a financial asset class in international fora. At the same time, we continued preparing blended finance partnerships and results-based incentives models to support water and sanitation enterprises become investable and increase their impact.
By creating an enabling financial ecosystem, Aqua for All contributes to transforming the water and sanitation sector into a sustainable, inclusive economy that is #MakingWaterCount.
