We are excited to announce that we will be attending the European Microfinance Week 2022. The conference is hosted by the European Microfinance Platform (e-MFP) and will take place from 16-18 November in Luxembourg.
The European Microfinance Week 2022 provides a unique meeting point for microfinance and financial inclusion professionals to network and take part in high quality sessions and debates with prestigious speakers from around the world.
Aqua for All sessions
Aqua for All will participate in the invitation-only session “WASH Action Group: Water and Sanitation Indicators for Investors” on 17 November at 15:15 CET. Our Impact Finance Manager Álvaro Ma, will be leading this session where Action Group members will focus on discussing indicators for WASH investments.
Led by Aqua for All, the WASH Action Group was created in 2021 in partnership with e-MFP to bridge information gaps and promote investments in water and sanitation. This is done through defining water and sanitation indicators, which can be implemented by impact investors and financiers in the financial inclusion sector.
This session will be followed by the “Action Group Meet & Greet” at 16:45 CET. During this session, attendees can learn from peers, contribute on topics of interest, and learn how to join an Action Group.
Action Groups that will attend are: Green Inclusive and Climate Smart Finance Action Group, WASH Action Group, From Research to Practice and Back Again Action Group, Better Metrics for Effective Savings Action Group, Cambodia Action Group, Refugees Action Group and Investors Action Group.
On 18 November at 13:00 CET, Alvaro Ma together with Hans Perk (Oikocredit) and Yannick Milev (Chamroeun Microfinance PLC) will be keynote speakers in our joint session “Thinking Out of The Box: Blended Finance Solutions to Promote WASH lending in Cambodia”. During this session, participants will learn more on the partnership between Oikocredit and Aqua for All to accelerate financial inclusion in WASH in Africa and Asia. The session will elaborate on the transaction with Chamroeun Microfinance Plc that promotes inclusion in WASH in Cambodia.
