Call for proposals from water & sanitation enterprises in Ethiopia

Are you ready to drive impact in water and sanitation?
Aqua for All has launched a new phase of its flagship programme, Making Water Count running from 2026-2030. Aqua for All is now accepting submissions from scalable, sustainable and impact-driven enterprises in Ethiopia.
Aqua for All is offering grant funding and/or technical assistance support to eligible enterprises to support their scaling pathway.
If you are interested in support, please carefully read the Application Guidance document linked below. This document will provide more detailed information on the type of grant instruments we offer, eligibility criteria for enterprises and application processes.
Objective and scope
Aqua for All is seeking catalytic solutions in Ethiopia which improve water and/or sanitation access (SDG 6) with market-based approaches.
We are interested to receive applications from enterprises focusing on one of our priority topics:
Drinking water
- Safe water enterprises
- Household water treatment and safe storage solutions
- Operation and maintenance services
- Smart water technology providers (e.g. metering, billing, IOT, etc.)
- Hardware and infrastructure providers (e.g. drilling services, pumping, materials production and distribution)
- Other distribution (water trucking)
Sanitation
- Toilet economy service providers
- Faecal sludge management (collection, transportation, treatment)
- Circular economy and human waste reuse services
We are especially interested in enterprises who address our cross-cutting themes such as climate-resilience and gender.
While Aqua for All takes a primary focus on market transformation by building resilient enterprises, catalytic initiatives that can have wider impact on the ecosystem are also welcome to apply.

Eligibility criteria
Enterprises which are interested in applying for support must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Registered entity with a minimum of 2 years of operations
- Have a clear impact mission and contribute to the achievement of SDG 6
- Have activities in Ethiopia
- Have achieved (at least) proof-of-concept with the core products and services of the business
- Provide water and sanitation products or services in a commercial and/or market-based approach
- Be financially sustainable, or have well-defined plans for reaching financial sustainability

በውሃ እና በሳኒቴሽን ላይ ዘላቂ ለውጥ የሚያመጣ ስራ ለመስራት ዝግጁ ነዎት?
አኳ ፎር ኦል በሰፊው የሚታወቅበት የውሃ እና ሳኔቴሽን መርሀግብሩ አዲስ ምዕራፍ የሆነውን ሜኪንግ ዎትር ካውንት 2026 2030 መርሃግብር አስጀምሯል። በዚህም መሰረት አኳ ፎር ኦል ሊስፋፋ የሚችል፣ ዘላቂ እና ለውጥ ትኮር የሆኑ መክረ ሳቦች የሚያቀርቡ ኢንተርፕራይዞችን ይጋብዛል፡፡
አኳ ፎር ኦል መስፈርቱን ለሚያሟሉ ኢንተርፕራይዞች የማስፋፊያ ሰራዎቻቸውን በገንዘብ እና/ወይም በሙያ ለመደገፍ ዝግጅቱን አጠናቋል፡፡
ደጋፉን ለማግኘት ፍላጎቱ ካለዎት ከታች በማስፈንጠሪያው የቀረበውን የማመልከቻ መመሪያ ሰነድ በጥንቃቄ ያንብቡ፡፡ ሰነዱ ስለ ድጋፉ አይነቶች፣ ስለ ኢንተርፕራይዞች መምረጫ ምስፈርቶች እና የማመልከቻ ሂደቱን በተመለከት ዝርዝር መርጃ ይሰጣል።
አላማ እና ዳራ
አኳ ፎር ኦል በኢትዮጵያ የዘላቂ ልማት ግብ አካል የሆነውን ውሃ እና ሳኒቴሽን አገልግሎት አቅርቦትን በፍጥነት ሊያስፋፉ የሚችሉ ገበያ ተኮር መፍትሄ ሃሳቦችን እየፈለገ ይገኛል።
ቅድሚያ በምንሰጣቸው ዘርፎች በአንዱ ላይ ያተኮረ ምክረ ሃሳብ ተወዳዳሪዎች እንዲያቀርቡ እንጋብዛልን።
የመጠጥ ውሃ
- ንጹህ እና ደህንነቱ የተጠበቀ የመጠጥ ውሃ አቅርቦት ላይ የሚሠሩ ኢንተርፕራይዞች
- በቤት ደረጃ የውሃ ማጣሪያ እና ደህንነቱ የተጠበቀ የውሃ ማከማቻ መፍትሄዎች ላይ የሚሠሩ ኢንተርፕራይዞች
- አገልግሎት አሰጣጥ እና የጥገና አገልግሎቶች ላይ የሚሠሩ ኢንተርፕራይዞች
- ዘመናዊ የውሃ ቴክኖሎጂ አገልግሎት አቅራቢዎች (ልኬት፣ ክፍያ ሰሌት፣ ዘመናዊ/ መረጃ ማሰባሰቢያ ቴክኖሎጂ የመሳሰሉት)
- የግንባታ እና መሰረት ልማት አገልግሎት ሰጪዎች (ቁፋሮ፣ ወሃ ማሰራጨት፣ ቁሳቁስ ማመርት እና ማከፋፈል)
- ሌሎች የውሃ አቅርቦት ዘዴዎች (እንደ የውሃ ታንከር መኪና አገልግሎት) ላይ የሚሠሩ ኢንተርፕራይዞች
ሳኒቴሽን
- ውጤታማ መጸዳጃ አጠቃቀም አገልግሎት ሰጪዎች
- ፍሳሽ አወጋግድ (ማጠራቀም፣ ማጓጓዝ እና ማጣራት) ላይ የሚሠሩ ኢንተርፕራይዞች
- የሰው ፍሳሽ ቆሻሻን በማጣራት እንደገና የመጠቀሚያ መንገዶች ላይ የሚሠሩ ኢንተርፕራይዞች
በተለይም የአየር ንብረት መቋቋም አቅምን እና የፆታ እኩልነትን የመሳሰሉ መሻገሪያ ጭብጦቻችንን የሚያስተናግዱ ኢንተርፕራይዞች ላይ ልዩ ትኩረት እንሰጣለን፡፡
አኳ ፎር ኦል ቀዳሚ ትኩረቱ ገበያ ተኮር የሆነ ዘላቂ አቅም የሚገነቡ ኢንተርፕራይዞች ላይ ሲሆን፤ እነዚህም በተጨማሪ በፍጥነት ሊሰፋፉ የሚችሉ ተጸኖዎችን በአካባቢ ላይ የሚፈጥሩ ሀሳቦች ያላቸው አካላትም ተጋብዘዋል።
ሊሰሩ የሚያስቡት ተግባር ከላይ በቀረቡት ዝርዝሮች ውስጥ ከሌለ፣ ስለ መምረጫ መስፈርቱ መነጋግር ስለሚቻል በአድራሻችን ሊያገኙን ይችላሉ፡፡
የብቃት መስፈርቶ
ድጋፉን ለማግኘት የሚፈልጉ ኢንተርፕራይዞች የሚከተሉትን መስፍርቶች ማሟላት አለባቸው።
- ተመዝግቦ ቢያንስ ሁለት አመት የሰራ ተቋም
- ግልጽ ተልዕኮ ያላቸው እና ለስድስተኛው ዘላቂ የልማት ግብ አስተዋጽኦ የሚያደርግ ሃሳብ ያለው
- በኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ የሚንቀሳቀስ(በተለይም በአማራ ክልል ልሚንቀሳቀሱ ኢንተርፕራይዞች ይበረታታሉ)
- በስራው ላይ ቢያንስ ግልጽ ግንዛቤ እንዳላቸው በዋና ዋና ምርቶች እና አገልግሎቶች በተመለከተ እውቅና የተሰጠው
- የውሃ እና ሳኒቴሽን ምርቶችን እና አገልግሎቶችን በንግድ ወይም በገበያ መስፈርት የሚያቀርብ
- የገንዘብ አቅም ያለው ወይም ዘላቂ ገቢ በማግኘት ሊለወጥ የሚያስችለው እቅድ ያለው
