Mr Tim Evers
Mr. Tim Evers is the Lead Impact & Knowledge at Aqua for All.
Tim holds a Master in Strategic Management from the RSM Erasmus University and has a background in strategy, development finance, and impact investing. At Aqua for All he heads the department responsible for our impact management and thoughts leadership. In addition, Tim is the chair of our Allocation Committee and our Portfolio Review Committee.
Before joining Aqua for All, Tim worked as the Senior Responsible Investment Strategist at APG. In this role, he advised the Investment Committee of an investor with over EUR 600 billion assets under management on enhancing sustainability strategies in asset management while focusing on global environmental and social impact. Tim also supported the successful integration of the SDI Asset Owner Platform and NetPurpose and was one of the co-authors of the DNB Sustainable Finance Platform handbook “Integrating Impact: Practical Insights for Institutional Investors”.
Prior to APG, Tim worked at the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the Head of Regional Development Banks. He led the Dutch government’s strategic oversight of nine multilateral development banks, successfully negotiating over USD 2.5 billion on capital increases and fund replenishments. Tim also coordinated Dutch policy positions on development finance such as the MDB capital adequacy framework review. Before his promotion, Tim also spearheaded the Financing for Development agenda, focusing on innovative solutions to mobilize private capital and blended finance mechanisms.
Tim also worked at the Strategy department of FMO, the Dutch DFI. Here he developed investment strategies for the European Neighbourhood region. He also oversaw the strategic planning process, fostering collaboration between investments teams and ensuring alignment with institutional goals. He also conducted opportunity analyses for FMO investments in Africa to support private sector growth in emerging markets.
