Since the launch of the Social Impact Incentives for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (SIIINC for WASH) programme in 2020, three enterprises have been supported to receive temporary incentives for their additional impact achieved. ATEC is one of the selected enterprises that will participate in a two-year SIINC transaction.
ATEC is a biodigester and clean cooking enterprise. It provides biodigesters to smallholder farmers in Cambodia and Bangladesh. The biodigester collects waste and converts it into organic fertiliser and biogas for clean cooking.
SIINC transactions are time-limited payments that help support the WASH enterprise to increase revenues, enhance impact and attract private capital.
