What is it like to be a game-changing entrepreneur in the water and sanitation sector? In this series, we put in the spotlight the entrepreneurs behind the enterprises participating in our SIINC for WASH programme, a pilot of the recently launched Impact-Linked Fund for WASH (ILF for WASH).
Meet Nikolai Schwarz, the country director for Cambodia at ATEC. Their modern biodigesters allow Cambodian farmers to turn animal manure into organic fertiliser and biogas for clean cooking. This creates both social and environmental impact, eliminating the need to burn wood for cooking and saving money on chemical fertilisers.
In this interview, Nikolai sheds light on this innovative solution and explains how SIINC for WASH supports ATEC in pioneering novel approaches and amplifying their impact.
