Meet our Supervisory Board

Ms Tanja Pelle

Ms Pelle is a highly accomplished Investment Banking and Private Equity Consultancy executive, with an excellent track record of building businesses, long-term relationships, and networks across Europe, Asia and Africa. She has over 20 years of (management) experience in sales, strategy and business development, client management, and in the financial sector, in developed as well as emerging markets. At present she is the CRO/COO of ILX Fund, an SDG Targeted Emerging Market Credit Fund. ILX Fund is an initiative of Cardano Development, incubator and fundmanager, focusing on developing innovative financial risk management solutions that are practical and can be scaled-up.


Ms Maartje Wise – Hoevenaars

Maartje Wise-Hoevenaars is currently Business Unit Director with the renowned Dutch engineering consultancy firm Royal HaskoningDHV. She has in-depth knowledge and experience at the interface of climate adaptation and water technology, both in the Netherlands and internationally. She is passionate about finding and implementing sustainable, integrated and innovative solutions to solve today’s increasingly complex societal challenges in the water sector.


Mr Sybe Schaap

Mr Schaap is the former chairman of Groot Salland region, the Dutch Association of Water Authorities, and the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP). In addition, he is a national government representative and a highly-acknowledged professor of philosophy with a broad international network.


Mr Hans van Houwelingen

Mr Van Houwelingen replaced Mr Fon Koemans as of April 2020. He is the former CEO of ACTIAM NV, an alternative investment fund manager which focuses on sustainability and global financial inclusion impact investing. He is currently chairman of the supervisory board of Telelink Business Services from Bulgaria. He sees techology as the main driver of change for the coming years. Mr Van Houwelingen believes in the role of the private sector and financial markets as instrumental to achieve a sustainable society.
