WSP Report: Unlocking the Potential of ICTs

This month saw the long-awaited publication by the Water and Sanitation Program (WSP) of the World Bank of their report on the potential of using ICT to improve water and sanitation services in Africa.  The report provides a Handheld terminals in Cotonou, Beninbackground to ICT usage in a variety of ways, as well as investigates past ICT applications to better inform future planning, execution, and policy.

If you don’t have the time to read the entirety of the report, the World Bank’s Water Blog provided two posts which covered the highlights.  The first post suggests the potential benefits of integrating ICTs in water and sanitation projects, whilst the second post outlines six keys items to keep in mind to improve consumer voice while implementing ICT platforms.
