AWS installation at MeteoRwanda HQ

Together with TAHMO and MeteoRwanda, SWC installed the 1st TAHMO Automated Weather Station at MeteoRwanda HQ in Kigali. This is the 1st step of huge activities to be carried out in the near future through a pilot project ''Severe weather warnings on floods and lightning in Musanze city'', as agreed between TAHMO and MeteoRwanda in the MoU signed in May 2017.

Station data gathering, interpretation, analysis and testing phase is still going on and thereafter continue with installation at different locations as mapped by Severe Weather Consult and Meteo Rwanda in June 2017.

Data from station will be used to develop weather and climate advisory services to city dwellers, tourists, farmers and other sectors such as research and education institutions, etc.
