We are pleased to invite you to attend our side event at COP29, “Catalysing Private Investments in Water and Sanitation with Climate Impact,” organised in collaboration with the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs (IGG). The event will occur on Monday, 18 November 2024 from 11:30 to 13:00 CT (8:30–11:00 CET) at the BENELUX-EIB Pavilion (Blue Zone). It can be joined either in person or online.
Event overview
This event will highlight successful investment cases where public and philanthropic funds have played a crucial role in de-risking and attracting private investments into the water and sanitation sector. The discussion will focus on how blended finance mechanisms can unlock climate-smart solutions, promoting sustainable water and sanitation initiatives aligned with achieving Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6).
Panellists from both the public and private sector will explore collaborative strategies to enhance investment outcomes and showcase innovative financial tools for driving transformation in water, sanitation, and climate resilience.
