A lifelong experience with simple waste water treatment, natural processes for water (r)use (developer of the Waterharmonica), biological processes for sanitation, water management, research, etc. Owner of Rekel/water (www.rekel.nl/water and www.waterharmonica.nl), Schermerhorn Co-owner of Rekel Kenya Ltd, Nairobi LinkedIn: https://nl.linkedin.com/in/ruudkampf Researchgate: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Ruud_Kampf Current activities in Kenya: trying to get a follow-up of: - the Wetland lagoon project in the main prison in Shimo la Tewa prison in Mombasa: technical evaluation of 10 years waste water treatment - the Biological sanitation project in the Borstal Institute (Boys prison in Shimo la Tewa). The project are supported and managed by the Netherlands Business Hub in Nairobi, with foreseen project partners Kenya Prisons Service, UNEP, Haller Foundation, local school organisations like Tenda Pamoja (schools in the Kwale district, south of Mombasa). The prison and Borstal institute are a good and well organised platform for a holistic, combined approach of sanitation concepts.

What are you looking for in the VIA Water Community (partners, skills, advice, knowledge, etc)?

Project support and cooperation. Help with dissimination and application elsewhere in Africa.

What knowledge, expertise, skills do you have to offer?
