VIA Water presents at IHE Dr. Bhaduri on Frugal Innovation ‘by and for the poor’

16 June 2017 12:45 to 13:30

VIA Water proudly presents an open lunch lecture at IHE Delft from Dr. Saradindu Bhaduri on Frugal Innovation ‘by and for the poor’. Frugal innovation is he process of reducing the complexity and cost of a good and its production, allowing it to be used by a larger group of people. This is a message VIA Water supports full-heartedly. His inaugural speech for the Prince Clause Chair was so inspiring that we want to share his insights with more people.

Dr. Saradindu Bhaduri is Associate Professor at the Centre for Studies in Science Policy in New Delhi, India. He was invited to fill the Prince Clause Chair as he has an excellent track record in research on frugal innovation ‘by and for the poor’, with a focus on informal sector innovations. The objective of this position is to advance research and teaching in the field of development and equity.

He is in the Netherlands in June. We would like to make the most of this great opportunity and invite you to join us for a lunch lecture at IHE Delft:
