UNEP-DHI Water Webinar Series: Approaching the SDGs through Innovation in Water Management

UNEP-DHI Partnership in collaboration with THE ACADEMY by DHI is hosting a series of webinars focusing on innovative approaches in water management, relevant to closing the gap on targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and specifically the SDG6 on Water and Sanitation.

Innovative Approaches and Tools for Improved Management of Floods and Droughts – 2nd November, 2016, 15.00 CEST. 

This session will focus on emerging tools for improved management of floods and droughts. Presenters from World Meteorological Organization/Global Water Partnership and DHI will present a number of examples – from national level drought management approaches, to specific technical tools for floods and droughts decision support, and innovative technologies for targeted floods and droughts insurance.

The aim of these series of is to give an insight to the role that innovative approaches can play in supporting the achievement of SDGs in a number of ways, underlining the need for, and opportunities in- integrated approaches to water management. Topics of the upcoming sessions will, amongst others, cover tools for development of Smart Cities, and Green infrastructure solutions for climate change adaptation. 
Water Webinar series are implemented in cooperation between the UNEP-DHI Partnership and THE ACADEMY.
