Citizen platform discussion with the people of Kwa Vonza

Sponge towns Kwa Vonza is in the air! After first discussions with Kitui County Government and the team partners SASOL, SEKU and MetaMeta we selected the Town of Kwa Vonza. It is an extremely booming town, housing 2 universities, where rapid town expansion is taking place in the light of limited water resources. All good reasons for sponging this town.

We had some good meetings with the people from town administration and engaged with the citizen platform. The people in Kwa Vonza are eager to improve the water management situation in their town and have already shared a lot of ideas and opportunities from their side.

At the same time we learn and act together with the people from Symbiocity (www.symbiocity.org) and our sister project in Kajiado, which we visited for their kick-off event.

A good start, now we are ready for the real deal :)
