Informed by lessons from previous attempts, our current prototype treatment system can treat wastewater from car washing stations to a level clearer than pipe-borne water from the public water utility. This water will be reused for car washing to prevent 2.5 gallons of freshwater being wasted every second through car washing activities in the Kumasi Metropolis and protect water courses.

The students from TU Delft testify that being part of this project has provided them the opportunity to put into practice the theoritical knowledge gained through their studies in Holland. And for me, working together with them, especially through brainstorming sessions, has exposed me to new ideas to make the recycling technology work even better than before.
