Celebrating World Water Day
at our VIA Water Café on March 21st
On March 21st, 14 of our innovators presented the project they are working on in their home countries. They did so during a VIA Water Café on the occasion of World Water Day at KIT Amsterdam.
The project leaders were in The Netherlands for a week full of training on business development, marketing, presentation skills and team leadership. They also visited organisations in the Netherlands that work in similar fields: to learn from their methods and possibly form partnerships.
Before the innovators passionately shared their stories with the audience, Carola van Rijnsoever (Director Inclusive Green Growth, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands) opened the gathering by saying a few words about the recent flooding in Mozambique and about the VIA Water programme.
After the Café ended, the audience and project leaders joined the World Water Day event organised by Aqua for All and NWP. In this blog, Aqua for All director Sjef Ernes looks back on the event.
