UPDATED with recording: Lunch Lecture Innovative Mobile Water Quality testing

22 September 2016 13:00 to 13:45

Updated: you can find the recording of the lunch lecture here

Access to safe drinking water is key but actual and fine grained data on water quality is still lacking.

Over the last 2 years Akvo Foundation developed a mobile solution for water quality testing called Akvo Caddisfly. It’s a simple, low cost, open source, smartphone- based drinking water testing system connected to an online and mobile data collection platform. Existing features of the phone are combined with software apps and pocket-sized hardware items to conduct reliable tests on water samples, and then share this data with the people who need to see it.

Hans Merton from Akvo will tell you more about Caddisfly during a lunch lecture organised by VIA Water, programme on water innovation in African cities.
Please join us on the 22nd of September, at 13:00-13:45u in the Auditorium (Room A1A) of UNESCO-IHE (Westvest 7 in Delft).

In November we will be organising a new lunch lecture on urban planning, more information will follow.
