A must read for those working with start-ups, and an inspiration for social entrepreneurs in developing countries. The report states that if we want to achieve inclusive development and meet the Sustainable Development Goals, sustainable start-ups focusing on low-income customers can be the key implementers. To enable them to implement the SDGs, a basis of inclusive markets is needed, as well as support for the start-ups. Specifically, the report states that we need a long-term focus to prepare markets for the innovative ideas, and willingness to invest long-term in a risky environment.

On page 6, an overview is shown of what is needed to create an enabling environment for the start-ups. At the same time, the report provides valuable insights for start-ups in how funding agencies work.
