A demonstration of the sms self-billing and payment of water tariffs platform was made to the Managing Director of Ghana Water Company Limited. The Project Implementation Committee led by the Chairman Mr. Gyakabene Ampomsem demonstrated the platform to the MD. Mr. Gyakabene who is also the chief Director of the commercial department intimated to the Managing Director the mirage of problems the platform could support the company solve.
The MD was excited to have seen this at long last. He recounted instances in the United Kingdom where he enjoyed such services during his school days and was hopful this could be replicated in this part of the world sometime. The Managing Director gave his approval for the entry and training of the gated communities. Gated communities in Ghana are usually referred to as high income residential communities of the country.
