The Rain for Sale project aims to provide water solutions by testing, providing and implementing a business model in Rwanda which involves local entrepreneurs, financing institutions and many other stakeholders to successfully achieve its goals.
As per now, we have successfully received an inducement from RWFA, selected 3 districts, and received 17 applications from entrepreneurs of which 7 were successful; one will go through a final selection.
Currently, 7 rain water harvesting systems are under construction; the successful entrepreneurs are carrying out site clearing, construction materials have been delivered and construction has started. We are looking forward to harvest the rain water in the next rainy season starting in April.
