Net tube unit
We started late because most materials had to be sourced from Kenya and we had challenges on clearance of hydroponics nutrients and net tubes. We are the first one to introduce hydroponics in Rwanda as such the customs do not have standards of hydroponics nutrients, although we had an agreement with Rwanda Agriculture Board,we were told our formulation of hydroponics nutrients has to be gazzeted in Rwanda Gazzate a process which takes about 6 months. We decided latter to use local organic fertilizer so that the project will not be affected a lot.We expect our nutrients to be approved within the next two months. These will help in cuting costs of the nutrients.
So far we have managed to do 6 hydroponics units and another 29 units about to be installed in two weeks time.
Below the Field report for the above units
