MDF West Africa and FARIAD have opened its door to young ambitious Ghanaians seeking an opportunity to launch their own businesses through the EnterWASH programme.

EnterWASH is a programme that seeks to help people between the ages of 18 and 35 with great ideas start up innovative businesses in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene sector

EnterWASH offers these young people an opportunity to participate in an intensive training programme on WASH entrepreneurship and innovation.

After the training, beneficiaries will run their own crowd funding campaign to raise seed capital for implementing their own business idea. They will also receive mentoring and coaching support from experts in the field

At a Drink-up and Sign-up event held at the MDF West Africa offices in Accra on 29 April 2016, interested applicants were introduced to the programme. Participants also had the opportunity to share their background and expectations and share their questions.

Mohammed Youssif, a level 200 accounting student of UPSA was really happy about the initiative. He stated his interest in managing liquid waste and very glad EnterWASH will hopefully help him accomplish his dream.

EnterWASH is supported by VIA Water, an initiative that supports projects with innovative solutions for water problems facing cities in seven African countries: Benin, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Rwanda and South Sudan.
