Karumuna cooperative is an organization of 60 farmers that is located in Karumuna, Bugesera. These farmers are mainly focused on sugar cane farming for the sugar factory in kabuga. These farmers were trained on hydroponic farming for kitchen gardens. During the training sessions they expressed that they could not afford the vertical systems and that they was lack of water in the area and requested for a smaller kit. They were trained on pest management and also introduced to Kale (sukuma wiki) and Spinach which are not common vegetables here in Rwanda. They were part of the installation of the kit and also planting the seedlings as well.
