Kisumu visit

President Hon Uhuru, Prime Minister Hon Raila Odinga, Raphael Tujo, Cabinet, Marine and others were in Kisumu for the launch of the dredger on Friday the 18th of January.

Greenergia K Ltd was requested to bring their Aquatic Weed Harvester to the Port of Kisumu for the launch.
The company organised a personal demonstration of the harvester for the President on Saturday. Both national and county governments are ready to talk to tackle the hyacinth challenge. Follow-up meetings have taken place and discussions on-going to start a Public Private Partnership to clean the lake.
