Hard luck as aquifer not hit for monitoring borehole

Local and Dutch based experts conducted various geo-physical studies in Kajiado town and analysed several materials from which it was agreed that a monitoring borehole should be drilled to 90m depth within Kajiado town. The idea was to install devices to monitor fluctuating ground water levels and in particular ground water recharge. It appears that we missed the fracture by a few meters. The drilling team took a break for a night rest and in the morning, some water was flushed out indicating the borehole had some inflows in the night. This is still useful and so the project team decided to develop this borehole at 130 depth where the drilling had reached and equip it with the monitoring device (diver). This monitoring borehole will be handed over to Water Resources Authority who are mandated with water resources management in Kenya. Project teams (NIA, AMREF, ACACIA Water, RAIN) will continue monitoring the ground water through data collected before handing over to WRA.

Luckyly some near strike. Why not blasted in the lower part to open the connection?
