Sponge City Kajiado aims to improve the urban environment and urban climate. Presently, Kajiado town experiences too much dust during the many too hot days. The dust is generously sprayed all over by the high speed winds. This situation is due to inadequate forest/trees/vegetative cover.
This weeks International Forest Day’s theme” Forests and Sustainable Cities” best fits the objective of the Kajiado Sponge City project. Sponge City Kajiado project will be supporting the planting of trees during the commemoration of the day at MTTI grounds in an event to be graced by the Kajiado County Governor, Hon. Ole Lenku.
