Farmer demonstration

Two demonstration events were held at the field site located at the Agriculture Society of Kenya (ASK) Nakuru show grounds. Ffarmers and other local stakeholders were involved in planting of cabbage, maize and kales using faecal matter fertiliser. The opportunity to engage the farmers, Ministry of Agriculture officials, Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Services (KEPHIS) to practically participate and monitor crop progress to harvest was highly appreciated. The farmers comprehended the indubitable importance of faecal matter based fertiliser as a resource for crop production and soil conditioner. In addition, the Standard Newspaper featured the event and drew interest across the country.
