Participants in data collection exercise

The project “Mapping and Monitoring Critical Developments in the Delta” is granted by Aqua for All to FloodTags, Satelligence, Akvo, Radboud University and Deltares. It is implemented in Mali in partnership with Mali Meteo to combine online media, remote sensing and digital registration of observations to improve drought modelling and detection in Mali. To reach this call in a sustainable way the project transfer capacities and technologies to Mali Meteo to be able to continue with the actions. In line with this strategy Akvo has organized a training on Akvo Flow for Mali Meteo staff from June 26th to 28th at Akvo office in Badalabougou Bamako.The objectives of this first training were to introduce the digital data collection tool to Mali Meteo and pilot the data collection from two stations. Four staffs of Mali Meteo participated to this training including two station observers and two supervisors. After the training the station observers will use the tool to collect data within a period of 2 months before the dashboard managers training.
