Project summary
Spring Health is a safe water enterprise (SWE) operating in rural India, with a network of 263 water kiosks. They are based on a micro-entrepreneur sales model, providing safe and affordable drinking water to over 150,000 people daily while creating jobs.
Due to the lockdown measures, 60% of kiosks operations were halted. This created financial challenges as the organisation has been working at 50% cash flow. In addition, Spring Health is paying 50% of the salaries to the staff restricted from running their business. With Aqua for All’s Response Facility support, Spring Health wants to diversify its income stream, strengthen its customer base and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 by producing and distributing active chlorine in plastic bottles as a disinfectant solution.
